NORTH AFRICAN ARABIC COURSE

BEGINNERS LEVEL 1 (A1)

The course is aimed at complete beginners (A1) and is designed to enable learners to communicate in Arabic (MSA or any dialect of choice) within a limited range of everyday situations.
Topics covered:

  • Basic greeting and self-introduction.
  • Learning Arabic Alphabets, pronunciation sounds, short vowels and Long vowels.
  • Personal pronouns and attached pronouns.
  • Learning masculine and feminine nouns.
  • Learning Adjectives, places and prepositions.
  • Understanding constructing a phrase (Idafa).
  • More greeting, occupation, nationality, family and different relationships, describing things and people, asking and giving directions.
  • Learning how to ask different questions.
  • Capability of conjugating verbs in the present tense, future tense and past tense.
  • Learn how to negate verbs in all tenses.
  • Ability to make sentences and even paragraphs.
  • Learning dual and plurals rules.
  • Numbers, days of the week, counting, asking for a price or giving a price, telephone number and telling your date of birth in Arabic.
  • All lesson will consist of speaking, listening, translating, reading, role play and more as agreed between the tutor and the student.
  • Learning past tense (regular and irregular).
  • Ability to describe the day to day activities.
  • Learning about food and order.

BEGINNERS LEVEL 2 (A2)

In this level we expect the students to learn more vocabulary, grammar and have a better understanding of constructing sentences and expressing themselves.

  • Describing one’s daily routine, setting it in time and place.
  • Speaking about general interest and hobbies.
  • Asking questions about another person’s routine and interests.
  • Having a phone conversation, accepting, refusing offers.
  • Describe past experiences and future plans or wishes.
  • Ability to make or cancelling appointment.
  • Describing things by their colours.
  • Learning about clothes, shopping in a store and negotiating price.
  • Describing events and different types of party or gathering.
  • Speaking about health, asking about another person’s health.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL (B1/B2)

The objectives of Intermediate Arabic course are to enable the student to build a soiled knowledge of Arabic grammar, to expand vocabulary in terms of complexity, and to increase the acquisition of words for active and passive use in a wide variety of topics and settings.

  • Articulate a speech about current events in the past, present or future.
  • Listening to more audios and ability to understand the context.
  • Ability to talk in more details about your education and field of work.
  • Express preferences, ideas, opinions and feeling about different topics/situations.
  • Capability to describe and compare cities, people and places.
  • Talk about possibility and certainty.
  • Making conditional sentences.
  • Criticize, complain or compliment.
  • Leaning passive participle.
  • Using connectors in Arabic.
  • Continuing learning forms of verbs.
  • Covering vocabulary in a range of topics such as health, money, politics, jobs, relationships…etc.
  • Students can focus on topics that relevant to them and their purpose for studying Arabic.

ADVANCE LEVEL (C1)

The objectives of the advance level to help students reach proficiency level, students will be able to understand with ease most of the things they heard or read. They should be able to express themselves clearly and coherently.

  • Ability to have an in-depth understanding of approach towards understanding, interpreting and evaluating information delivery from different media platform.
  • Enabling students to discuss complex topics and to engage in a fluent discussion with their tutor.
  • Reinforce their ability to communicate with a native Arabic speaker with a good degree of fluency.
  • Acquire the ability to read and write Arabic more quickly and an accurate understanding of a various range of topics.
  • Ability to participate in intensive interactive practice.
